Definition
迟早 (chí zǎo) means 'sooner or later' and emphasizes that something is inevitable, no matter when. It is slightly more formal than its near-synonym 早晚 (zǎo wǎn), which is more common in everyday speech. Unlike 总 (zǒng), which can mean 'eventually' but also 'always', 迟早 focuses purely on the certainty of the outcome.
