Definition
逮 (dǎi) is a colloquial verb for physically catching or capturing someone or something — it's less formal than the literary 捕 (bǔ) and its compounds (逮捕, 捕捉, 捕获). While 抓 (zhuā) means a general grab or arrest, 逮 often implies a successful capture after pursuit. For 'seizing an opportunity', 逮 is used informally; 抓住 or 把握 are more common in standard speech.
