Definition
遛 (liù) means 'to walk (an animal)'—its primary use is walking a pet (遛狗, 遛鸟). It can also mean 'to stroll' (遛一遛). Unlike 溜达 (liū da), which means a leisurely walk without an animal object, and 逛 (guàng), which is strolling for shopping or sightseeing, 遛 specifically involves giving a pet exercise or taking a casual walk.
