Definition
野蛮 (yě mán) describes people or behavior as 'barbarous, uncivilized' — it carries a strong negative judgment about cruelty or lack of culture. Unlike 野 (yě), which can mean 'wild' in a neutral sense (untamed nature, rough manners), 野蛮 focuses on moral condemnation. 野生 (yě shēng) is purely biological ('wild, undomesticated') and never describes human behavior.
