错车 is a separable verb (离合词) used when two vehicles traveling in opposite directions meet on a narrow road; one must pull over or yield to let the other pass. The verb can split — e.g., 错了一次车 ('yielded once'), 错不过车 ('can't yield because the road is too narrow').
