Definition
闯 (chuǎng) means to rush or charge into something, often with a sense of daring, risk, or breaking rules (e.g., 闯红灯 'run a red light'). It differs from 冲 (chōng), a more general 'dash' or 'charge' without the risk implication, and from 突破 (tūpò), which means to systematically break through a barrier or achieve a breakthrough. 闯 can also mean to venture out and temper oneself through hardships (闯荡).
