Definition
降价 (jiàng jià) specifically means 'to lower the price' and is used only for price reductions. It differs from 降低 (jiàng dī), which can lower anything (temperature, volume, etc.), and from 降 (jiàng), a more general 'fall/drop'. Also, 打折 (dǎ zhé) means 'to give a discount' (a percentage off), while 降价 is an absolute price reduction.
