Definition
降低 means to actively lower or reduce something (speed, temperature, requirements). Unlike 降 (jiàng), which often describes a natural drop or fall, 降低 implies a deliberate action. It differs from 减少 (jiǎn shǎo), which is used for quantities/numbers, while 降低 is for levels/degrees.
