Definition
颊 is a bound form (b.f.) meaning 'cheek'. It cannot stand alone as a word; you must use it in compounds such as 脸颊 (liǎnjiá, cheek), 面颊 (miànjiá, cheek), or 双颊 (shuāngjiá, both cheeks). When you see 'cheek' in English, the natural Chinese word is 脸颊 or 面颊, not 颊 by itself.
