高科技 (gāo kē jì) is the everyday word for 'high tech' as a field or concept, often used as a noun or attributive (e.g. 高科技公司). It is very similar to 高新技术 (gāo xīn jì shù), but 高新技术 is a more formal, official term meaning 'high and new technology'. Compared to 科技 (kē jì, 'science and technology') and 技术 (jì shù, 'technology/skill'), 高科技 specifically refers to advanced, cutting-edge technology.
