Adverbs with AdjectivesHSK 4
Adjectives with 那么 and 这么
Use 这么 (zhème) or 那么 (nàme) directly before an adjective to express 'so' or 'such' in Chinese. These intensifiers are placed right before the adjective without any additional words like 'very'. The most common pitfall is forgetting that they do not need a degree adverb like 很 (hěn) when expressing a high degree.
Structure
Subj. + 这么 / 那么 + Adj.
