Expressing 'had better' with 最好
最好 is an adverb that means 'had better' or 'it would be best to.' Use it before a verb or adjective phrase when giving strong but polite advice or a suggestion.

Predicate can be a verb or adjective phrase.
Examples
- 你最好先休息一下。Nǐ zuìhǎo xiān xiūxi yīxià.You'd better get some rest first.
- 你们最好给他打个电话问一下。Nǐmen zuìhǎo gěi tā dǎ gè diànhuà wèn yīxià.It would be best for you to give him a call and ask.
