Expressing "in addition" with 另外
To add an additional statement, start a new sentence with 另外, which means 'in addition' or 'besides.' It is often followed by 还 or 也 to reinforce the additive meaning. The word 另外 simply introduces another point; do not use it as the only additive word if the sentence structure requires 还 or 也.
