Expressing that something has already happened with 来着
来着 is a sentence-final particle used to indicate that an action happened in the past, often with a casual or recollective tone. It cannot be used in negative sentences, and in questions it only pairs with 什么, 谁, or 哪儿. Avoid using 来着 with 不 or 没 to negate a past event.
Structure

Cannot be used in negative sentences with 不 or 没(有). In questions, only 什么, 谁, 哪儿 are allowed.

- 昨天我去超市来着。Zuótiān wǒ qù chāoshì láizhe.I went to the supermarket yesterday.
- 他刚才说什么来着?Tā gāngcái shuō shénme láizhe?What did he just say?
- 你找谁来着?Nǐ zhǎo shéi láizhe?Who were you looking for?
- 我们去年在哪儿见面来着?Wǒmen qùnián zài nǎr jiànmiàn láizhe?Where did we meet last year?
- 我记得你喜欢吃火锅来着。Wǒ jìde nǐ xǐhuan chī huǒguō láizhe.I recall you liked eating hotpot.
