Expressing "to be worthy of" with 不愧是

Use 不愧是 (bùkuìshì) to express that someone or something lives up to a reputation or title. It is placed before a noun phrase and is often used in praise. Be careful not to use it with verbs; it only modifies nouns.

Structure

Subj. + 不愧是 + Reputation
Subj. + 不愧为 + Reputation

  • 不愧是我们的英雄。
