Expressing "will" with 会
会 (huì) can be used to indicate that something will happen or someone will do something. Just place 会 before a verb to express a prediction or intention, and use 不会 (bù huì) to negate.
Structure
Subj. + 会 + Verb + Obj.
Examples
- 明天你会来吗?Míngtiān nǐ huì lái ma?Will you come tomorrow?
- 明天会下雨吗?Míngtiān huì xiàyǔ ma?Will it rain tomorrow?
- 我出去一下,很快会回来。Wǒ chūqù yīxià, hěnkuài huì huílái.I'm going out for a little while. I'll come back very soon.
- 老板会同意吗?Lǎobǎn huì tóngyì ma?Will the boss agree?
- 下班以后,我会给你打电话。Xiàbān yǐhòu, wǒ huì gěi nǐ dǎ diànhuà.After getting off work, I will give you a call.
