Modifying nouns with phrase + 的

To describe a noun using a verb phrase, place the phrase before 的 and then the noun. For example, '妈妈做的菜' means 'the food that mom cooks/cooked'. The exact time (past, present, or future) is shown by context, not the grammar itself.

Structure

Noun + Verb (+ Obj.) + 的 + Noun

The phrase may also omit the subject, starting directly with a verb.
