Result complement -下去

The complement 下去 placed after a verb expresses the continuation of an action. Use it to urge someone to keep doing something or to state that an action should continue. Do not confuse this abstract continuation with the literal directional meaning of going down.

Structure

Subj. + Verb + 下去
