Softening speech with 吧
The particle 吧 placed at the end of a statement softens the tone, turning it into a suggestion, guess, or gentle request. Use it to sound less direct or assertive in informal speech. Avoid overusing it in very formal contexts or with commands that shouldn't be softened.
