潮湿 (cháo shī) — damp, humid, moist

Definition

Describes ambient dampness in air, rooms, or clothes (not things that are visibly wet — that's 湿). 润/滋润 describe pleasant moisture (skin, life); 湿润 is similar but more neutral, often for eyes, climate, or soil.
