陌 is a bound form (almost never used alone) meaning 'path between fields' in classical/poetic contexts (as in 阡陌, paths crossing the fields). In modern Chinese it survives mainly in the set phrases 陌生 ('unfamiliar') and 陌路 ('strangers').
