Definition
一体 (yī tǐ) has two distinct meanings: 'an integral whole' emphasizes the unified merging of parts, more abstract than 整体 (zhěng tǐ, a concrete 'whole entity'). It also means 'all concerned, everybody' in formal, written contexts — more official than 全体 (quán tǐ, 'all members') or the polite address 各位 (gè wèi).
