上坡 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to go uphill' or 'to climb a slope'. The two characters can split when you add a measure word, time duration, or other element between 上 and 坡 — for example, 上了一次坡 ('went uphill once') or 上了一个小时的坡 ('climbed uphill for an hour'). It's the opposite of 下坡.
