Definition
不仅 (bù jǐn) is a standard, neutral conjunction meaning 'not only', used in the pattern 不仅…而且/还/也… ('not only… but also…'). It is nearly interchangeable with 不但 (bù dàn) and slightly more formal than 不光 (bù guāng). 非但 (fēi dàn) is a more formal synonym that often precedes a negative clause.
