Definition
不说 (bù shuō) is a fixed verbal phrase used to introduce a stronger or more obvious point. Literally 'not to speak of', it functions like 'needless to say' or 'not to mention' in English. It often appears in the pattern '不说…，就是/连…都…', where the second part adds a more extreme or contrasting example. It can also stand alone at the start of a sentence to mean 'obviously' or 'you don't even need to say'. Do not confuse it with the literal 'bù shuō' (refuse to speak).
