丰富多彩 (fēng fù duō cǎi) describes something that is rich, varied, and colorful in content or experience — used for events, culture, life, etc. It differs from 五颜六色 (wǔ yán liù sè), which focuses on many bright colors, and from 精彩纷呈 (jīng cǎi fēn chéng), which emphasizes a dazzling display of highlights. 缤纷 (bīn fēn) is a more literary adjective for colorful diversity.
