Definition
主播 (zhǔbō) refers specifically to broadcast media and live streaming — the person (news anchor, streamer) or the action of hosting/streaming. It differs from 主人 (zhǔrén), a host of guests or a party, and 主持 (zhǔchí), a verb for presiding over a meeting or program (not used for the person). 东道主 (dōngdàozhǔ) is a formal noun for the host of an event.
