Definition
事不关己 is a four-character set phrase (成语) meaning 'the matter does not concern oneself' — used to indicate that something is not your business or responsibility. It often appears in the longer expression 事不关己,高高挂起 (shì bù guān jǐ, gāogāo guà qǐ), which criticizes a bystander attitude of ignoring things that don't personally affect you. In conversation, you can use it alone to dismiss an issue as irrelevant to you.
