Definition
亏欠 means 'to owe' in both a financial sense (to be in arrears, to have a deficit) and an emotional sense (to feel indebted). It is used when someone has not fulfilled an obligation, whether monetary or moral. The verb can take a direct object (the person or entity owed) and often appears with 了 to indicate the state of owing.
