亲人 (qīn rén) refers to a close relative, especially immediate family, with a strong emotional bond. It is warmer and more personal than 家人 (jiā rén, 'family member'), which is neutral, and narrower than 亲戚 (qīn qi, 'relative'), which includes extended family. 亲情 (qīn qíng) is the abstract noun for the affection itself, not the person.
