Definition
亲切 describes a warm, kind, and approachable manner that puts others at ease, or a feeling of closeness and familiarity. Unlike 热情 (enthusiastic warmth), 亲切 is gentler and more about being cordial and amiable; it's also different from 和蔼 (kind, often of elders) and 和气 (polite, harmonious). It can describe both a person's manner and a familiar atmosphere.
