价格 (jiàgé) is the general, neutral word for 'price' used in both spoken and written Chinese. It is more formal than 价钱 (jiàqian), which is the everyday, colloquial word for the price of an item in a shop. 价格 can also appear in compounds like 市场价格 (market price).
