Definition
仿制 (fǎngzhì) means to copy by making a replica, often with intent to pass it off as real – used for counterfeits and forgeries. It differs from 模仿 (mófǎng), which is broader and covers mimicking actions or styles, and from 效仿 (xiàofǎng), which means following someone's example.
