优异 (yōuyì) describes performance, results, or quality that is exceptionally good, often in formal or academic contexts like grades or competition. It is stronger than 优秀 (yōuxiù) and more specific to measurable achievements than 出色 (chūsè), which is broader and used in everyday speech for any task done well.
