Definition
体无完肤 is a four-character idiom literally meaning 'body without intact skin.' You can use it to describe someone who has been beaten black and blue (literal sense) or, more commonly, to say that an argument, opinion, or person has been thoroughly refuted or severely criticized — as if they were left with no skin left unbroken. It often appears after 得 in resultative complements: 被批评得体无完肤.
