Definition
倍受 is a formal/literary verb meaning 'to be subjected to (something) to an intensified degree'. It is often used with abstract nouns: 倍受打击 (suffer heavy blows), 倍受关注 (attract much attention), 倍受尊敬 (be highly respected).
