Definition
加之 (jiā zhī) is a formal, written conjunction meaning 'moreover; in addition'. It is more literary than the common 并且 (bìngqiě) and is typically used in academic or formal writing to add a reinforcing point. Unlike 此外 (cǐwài), which can introduce a separate additional point, 加之 often adds a point that strengthens the previous argument.
