Definition
This chengyu literally means 'a thousand sores and a hundred holes' — it describes something riddled with problems, riddled with damage, or in a disastrous state. You can use it for infrastructure, policies, systems, or even a person's body after severe injury. It's a fixed expression (成语) and is not separable.
