Definition
压迫 (yāpò) means 'to oppress' (political/social) or 'to compress' (physical). Compared to 压 (yā), which is a general 'press down', 压迫 is more forceful and specific to oppression or constriction. 压抑 (yāyì) focuses on repressing emotions or creating a stifling feeling, while 压迫 targets external force or pressure on people or body parts.
