合体 (gě) is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to combine into one body' or 'to merge', commonly used in anime/game contexts where multiple characters or robots fuse into a single entity. It can also function as a stative verb meaning 'to fit well' (of clothing). As a separable verb, you can insert aspect markers or measure words between the syllables, e.g. 合了一次体 ('merged once').
