Definition
合并 (hé bìng) means 'to merge' two or more entities into a single unified whole, often used for companies, organizations, or groups. Unlike 并 (bìng), which can mean 'to combine' more generally and also functions as an adverb or conjunction, 合并 specifically describes a formal merger where separate units become one.
