Definition
合算 as a stative verb (s.v.) means 'worthwhile' or 'cost-effective' — you use it when something gives good value for the money or effort. It often appears with 很 (hěn) or 不 (bù). Note that 合算 can also function as a verb meaning 'to reckon up' or 'to total' (e.g., 合算一下总价), but that usage belongs to a different part of speech and is not covered by this s.v. entry.
