Definition
名利 (míng lì) refers to the combined pursuit of fame and wealth, often as a single life goal. It differs from 利益 (lì yì), which is a broader term for any benefit or interest, and from 功利 (gōng lì), which carries a negative, self-serving tone (mercenary or utilitarian).
