Definition
吸纳 (xī nà) is a formal verb with two main uses: to absorb (e.g., capital, nutrients) and to admit (members, funds). Compared to 吸收 (xī shōu, more general physical absorption and recruitment), 吸纳 often implies drawing in from external sources for organizational or financial purposes. It overlaps with 接纳 (jiē nà, accept into a group) but 吸纳 adds an element of absorption or integration.
