Definition
周末 (zhōumò) means 'weekend' — Saturday and Sunday. Don't confuse it with 星期 (xīngqī 'week') or 星期天 (xīngqītiān 'Sunday'); 周末 refers to the two-day period, not a single day or the whole week.
