Definition
品德 (pǐndé) means 'moral character' — the set of personal virtues a person possesses. It is more formal and holistic than 人品 (rénpǐn), which is colloquial and also can mean 'appearance'; and it focuses on inner character rather than observable conduct like 品行 (pǐnxíng). 道德 (dàodé) refers to the abstract system of morality, not an individual's character.
