Definition
困惑 (kùnhuò) means 'confused, perplexed' and can be used as both an adjective and verb. It is more neutral and formal than 纳闷儿 (colloquial 'puzzled'), and unlike 困扰 (which implies being troubled by a problem), 困惑 focuses on a state of bewilderment. Compared to 迷惑 (míhuò, which can suggest being misled), 困惑 is a pure sense of being at a loss.
