国宝 (guó bǎo) refers to something treasured by the entire nation, such as giant pandas or ancient artifacts. Unlike 藏品 (cáng pǐn, a collector's item) or 瑰宝 (guī bǎo, a precious gem or treasure in a general sense), 国宝 carries a sense of national significance and official recognition.
