Definition
地步 (dì bù) refers to the point or state a situation has reached, usually a negative or serious one (e.g., 到这种地步 "to such a point"). It differs from 度 (dù), which is a general measure of degree, extent, or temperature, and does not carry the same sense of a situation's progression.
