Definition
失控 (shī kòng) means 'to go out of control' or 'to lose control'. It is the opposite of 控制 (kòng zhì, 'to control'): the prefix 失 (lose) negates the concept of control. Use it when a situation, vehicle, emotion, etc. becomes uncontrollable.
